Is civic tech a gateway to becoming more politically engaged?

This research examines how and why citizens use websites like TheyWorkForYou, WriteToThem, FixMyStreet, WhatDoTheyKnow and other civic online tools.

Its main goal is to understand whether online civic tech offers a new way for people to become involved in their communities and in politics.
