Louise’s arrival represents a great leap forward for mySociety: she’s joined us to help streamline internal processes and ensure we’re operating as efficiently as we can, tasks in which she’ll work closely with Rich.
She’s also active within the Community team, helping to roll out new instances of FixMyStreet Pro to different councils, a process she describes as “working with clients and the rest of the team to create something that is really going to benefit the user and help streamline the councils internal processes”.
Earlier in her career, Louise helped build one of the first user-focused local authority websites in the UK, for Shropshire Council, before gaining project delivery and efficiency know-how with Zengenti, “a CMS vendor in the Shropshire countryside”. With additional time spent as part of a creative and advertising agency in Manchester, Louise comes with one of those invaluable blends of experience that you don’t know you need until you see it — whereupon you realise it’s exactly what the organisation is lacking.
Located in Manchester, Louise keeps fit with Body Combat classes — “punching fresh air is good for you”, she claims — and is a huge fan of the cinema: “I’m always waiting for the next Marvel film to come out”.
