Service Designer

Bekki joined SocietyWorks in November 2021. As a Service Designer, Bekki’s primary focus is on making sure customer and user needs are translated into usable services.

With a varied background, Bekki is a skilled design researcher and service designer, with public service experience in Government Digital Services and the BBC, and a PGDip in Human Computer Interaction Design. If that wasn’t enough, Bekki also has a background in front-end design and development! Bringing both design and systems thinking to her work, Bekki approaches situations from multiple perspectives to solve whole problems.

As a collector of hobbies, Bekki always has some project or other on the go. She’s previously made a Raspberry Pi arcade machine, she’s a pretty good seamstress, making a lot of her own clothes and has all the kitchen gadgets to help veganise omni favourites.

Bekki is fluent in: Mapping experiences: user flows, experience maps, service blueprints… if it’s distilling interactions and the transfer of information between people or systems, it’s entirely Bekki’s bag.
