Julia is a Senior Transparency Advisor at the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, where she designs and implements programmes, and advises on inclusive political processes (parliaments, political parties, elections, civic engagement), accountability/transparency and rule of law.

She has over 15 years’ experience working on governance issues and her specialisation is transparency and Open Government Partnership (OGP) and enhancing the role of civil society in public policy making and government oversight.

She previously worked at the UNDP and was an advisor in the Cabinet of the Belgian Minister for Development Cooperation and governance programme officer at the Belgian Technical Cooperation.

She graduated with a master’s degree in law from the University of Leuven in 2002 and in international politics from the University of Paris in 2005.  She holds a MS in International Relations, European Studies and Laws.
