The democratic landscape in Wales has changed… and so has our ‘contact your politician’ website WriteToThem.

In a webinar today, we invited Jess Blair from ERS Cymru to talk through how the Senedd looks, how the power balance has shifted and how that affects those living in Wales.

Now that each Welsh resident has several representatives, including councillors, MSs and an MP, deciding which one to contact is not necessarily a straightforward question! So, after Jess had spoken, mySociety’s Alex explained the changes we’ve made to WriteToThem to help our users get the right message to the right place.

Oh, and one more thing: did we mention WriteToThem also now has a Welsh translation? You can navigate the site in Welsh, and, if you wish, email your representatives in Welsh too. This work has been made possible thanks to the Welsh Government’s Democratic Engagement Grant.
