What is the difference between a core and a volunteer developer?
In order to avoid the oft-repeated scenario of open source developers running out of time and/or cash for rent, we've decided that we will only build projects where we have a contracted paid core developer (or even perhaps more than one in the long term). In September 2004, we got our first one and started working. We're not hiring any more at the moment, but hopefully if things go well, we'll be recruiting again in the future.
