Easy access to our data

  • Courtesy of The U.S Postal Museum

Are you interested in maps, politicians, local happenings? Or are you building a web tool that needs data? Then you probably want to read on, because mySociety's UK sites generate a steady stream of information that we make available via APIs and RSS feeds for others to integrate into their own sites and services.

Some services incur charges, based on volume and terms of service.

Features Use our data for your projects

  • Administrative Areas & Postcodes

MapIt is our service that maps UK postcodes and geographical points to administrative areas such as region, constituency, council or ward. It also gives information on administrative area boundaries in a variety of formats. API access is free for low volume and volunteer projects. Find MapIt here.

  • Freedom of Information

Access any UK local authority’s new, current, updated or published FOI requests using WhatDoTheyKnow‘s RSS feeds. Alternatively use the API in your application to receive new requests, publish responses and proactively disclose direct requests.

  • Paliamentary Data

Access data feeds on MPs, Lords, MLAs, MSPs, appearances, constituencies, debates, written answers, and more via API or RSS access from our parliamentary site TheyWorkForYou.

  • Transit Time Maps

Create maps of public transport travel times from or to a chosen postcode, for embedding in websites or services with the Mapumental API.

  • Local Street Problems

Show reported problems, comments and updates in your local street, park or city using FixMyStreet’s RSS feeds.
