Micro-voting / non-binding opinion polls

Written by on August 13th, 2009 in Proposal submissions 2009

Describe your idea:

An infrastructure and a process that would allow legitimate voters being able to be polled on different micro issues by the local MPs, government, council or any other institution can be beneficial to all. Governing bodies can use this information in order to understand where they need to inform the public more about certain decisions they make (convince the public why their decision is rational) and have early indication if a policy is going to be negatively perceived by the public. The voting public can then decide at a glance , which political party/governing body has worked more in line with the public’s opinion and help every citizen feel more involved in the voting process.

What problem does it solve?:

Providing the voting public a chance to express their feedback much more often and for smaller issues than those represented at general/council elections.

Type of idea: A brand new project
